We are currently on the lookout to find fun-loving, enthusiastic individuals to join our Dishwasher Team!
As a part-time Team Merlin Dishwasher, you will perform duties to maintain kitchen work areas, restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition, and will ensure the high standard of cleanliness and safety anticipated by our guests at this Gateway location.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize all glassware, silverware, flatware, pots, and pans in the restaurant.
- Responsible for the proper sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchens and food preparation areas, including ovens, grills, stoves, hoods, fryers, preparations slicers, steam kettles, tables, and floors.
- Assist culinary staff during any special request or priorities as requested by management.
- Put away all clean utensils, store and rotate stock in designated areas.
- Ensure uniform and appearance is clean and professional.
- Properly maintains dish machines to include cleaning, water changing, and chemical usage.
- Separate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers; Steam-clean or hose-out garbage cans and maintain loading dock.
- Responsibility to ensure compliance of Health, Safety & Security within the workplace, including COVID-19 policies, practices, and regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Similar role experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as recipes, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Fun, dynamic, and friendly personality.
- Excellent communication, listening, and motivational skills.
- Hospitable nature with a desire to give service of the highest possible level.
- Able to work in areas with loud noises and confined spaces.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged hours and interact with guests and employees in a fast-paced, multitask environment in variable temperatures and weather conditions.
- Ability to life and carry up to 50 pounds, manual dexterity in using equipment and tools, and ability to reach, bend, stoop and climb stairs as needed.
