We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Manager to join the team for our client's fab shop. This is an essential role for managing the operations and ensuring everything runs smoothly, both in the shop and on the field.
Job Description:
We’re seeking a proactive, “numbers-driven” individual to serve as Operations Manager. This key position will involve overseeing the organization and maintenance of fabrication shop inventory, field tools, and truck fleet, as well as keeping the office and shop in optimal condition.
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in managing logistics, inventory, and schedules, and will play a pivotal role in ensuring operations are running efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Manage and track inventory for the fabrication shop, ensuring items are in stock and easily accessible.
Oversee and maintain field tools, ensuring they are in good condition and available when needed.
Organize and coordinate the truck fleet, keeping records of vehicle maintenance, fuel, and service schedules.
Keep the office and shop organized, ensuring a clean and efficient work environment.
Monitor and report on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Assist in developing and maintaining systems for inventory management and asset tracking.
Coordinate logistics for materials and equipment needed for jobs, ensuring timely delivery and availability.
Help streamline and optimize processes to improve overall efficiency.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Proven experience in inventory management, logistics, or operations (preferably in the construction or fire protection industry).
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing needs.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with both field and office teams.
Proficient in basic software (Excel, inventory management systems, etc.).
Prior experience managing a fleet of vehicles is a plus.
Valid drivers license is required
Able to pass a drug screen prior to hiring
