Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill a Forklift - Mill Operator position with a Lead Processing Mill in Vancouver, WA. The person will be responsible for operating a forklift, monitoring mill activity, and performing quality control.
Shift : Full-Time. Mill runs 24 / 7 365 days a year. Depending on business need : Train on Day then need to be open to graveyard and swing shift.
Pay : $22.50 / hr
Forklift / Mill Operator Responsibilities :
Monitor and adjust mill settings for optimal performance.
Respond to mill alerts and react quickly to troubleshoot appropriate action.
Operate a small crane to load and materials into the mill.
Inspect and ensure the quality of the finished product.
Operate a forklift to move materials and equipment safely.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Record operational data and report any issues to supervisors.
Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes.
Forklift / Mill Operator Requirements :
Forklift experience.
Basic understanding of machinery and mechanical operations.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy materials.
Willingness to work in a dusty, noisy environment.
Ability to stand for long periods and walk up and down stairs throughout the day.
Ability and willingness to be respirator fitted.
18 years of age.
Forklift / Mill Operator Qualifications :
Previous experience working in a mill or other fast paced production environment.
Knowledge of production processes and quality control.
Mechanical aptitude and experience with preventative maintenance.
Forklift / Mill Operator Benefits :
