Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill a Mill Operator position with a Lead Processing Mill in Vancouver, WA. The person will be responsible for operating a forklift, monitoring mill activity, and performing quality control.
Shift : Full-Time. Must be open to Swing and or Graveyard after training on days.
Pay : $22.50 / hr
Mill Operator Responsibilities :
Monitor and adjust mill settings for optimal performance.
Respond to mill alerts and react quickly to troubleshoot appropriate action.
Operate a small crane to load and materials into the mill.
Inspect and ensure the quality of the finished product.
Operate a forklift to move materials and equipment safely.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Record operational data and report any issues to supervisors.
Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes.
Mill Operator Requirements :
Forklift experience.
Basic understanding of machinery and mechanical operations.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy materials.
Willingness to work in a dusty, noisy environment.
Ability to stand for long periods and walk up and down stairs throughout the day.
Ability and willingness to be respirator fitted.
18 years of age.
Mill Operator Qualifications :
Previous experience working in a mill or other fast paced production environment.
Knowledge of production processes and quality control.
Mechanical aptitude and experience with preventative maintenance.
