Madden Industrial is looking to fill a Heavy Industrial Conveyor Belt Mechanic with Conveyor Belt company in Apache Junction, AZ. The person will have experience working above and below ground, installing, repairing, and maintaining conveyor belts and associated mechanical systems.
Relocation assistance provided to Apache Junction, AZ.
Pay : $28-38 / hr DOE
Shift : Field work. Monday-Friday. Weekends as needed.
Conveyor Belt Technician Responsibilities :
Perform vulcanizing and cold bond splicing on heavy industrial conveyor belts.
Execute lap splices, finger splices, and steel cable splices with precision.
Conduct cold splicing and pulley lagging to ensure optimal belt performance.
Inspect and assess conveyor belts for damage and wear, recommending appropriate repairs.
Use specialized tools and equipment to perform splicing and lagging tasks.
Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot associated mechanic systems.
Follow safety protocols and industry standards to ensure safe and efficient work.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients and supervisors.
Conveyor Belt Technician Requirements :
Proven experience as a Vulcanizing and Cold Bond Technician in a heavy industrial setting.
Expertise in lap splices, finger splices, steel cable splices, cold splicing, and pulley lagging.
Strong knowledge of conveyor belt materials, construction, and repair techniques.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Willingness to work overtime when business needs arise.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects and working in various conditions.
18 years of age.
