Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking fire sprinkler service technician apprentice / shop helper for a company in Tualatin, Oregon.
Position Overview:
- This role provides hands-on training in fire safety protocols and practices, preparing you for a career in fire protection services.
Key Responsibilities:
Assistance in Installation: Help with the installation of fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and other fire safety equipment under the supervision of a certified technician.
Routine Inspections: Participate in routine inspections and testing of fire protection systems to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintenance and Repair: Aid in the maintenance and repair of existing fire safety equipment, learning to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
Delivery Driving : Assist the installers and fitters with deliveries on site
Documentation: Assist in maintaining accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed on fire prevention systems.
Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
Training and Development: Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge of fire prevention technologies, industry standards, and safety practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interest in fire safety and prevention technologies.
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems is a plus.
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Ability to perform manual labor and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Salary/Benefits:
- $21- $25/hr depending on experience
