Maddens is currently seeking a Recreation Manager. This position will assist the recreation director in managing and coordinating all recreation duties and activities in the recreation department.
- Works with Recreation Director to manage activities around the resort for guests. Whether it be at Recreation, Adventure Cove, Tennis Lessons, Trap shooting, Archery course, internal & external group events and team building activities.
- Ensures proper inspection of the courts/facilities daily. If maintenance is needed fill out proper forms for maintenance. Also let the Recreation Director about the issues.
- Makes work schedules for recreation attendants.

Oversees and trains all recreation staff.
- recreation attendants and assist with adventure cove attendants.
- Maintain golf cart rental for the most cost-effective rental program for season.
- Clean carts after every use
- Pick up and drop off carts when additional carts are needed.
- ensure that all carts are kept in safe working order.
- Responsible for maintaining all recreational rental equipment.
- Prepares weekly employee schedules for Tennis & Croquet Center.
- Handle guest complaints.
- Develop and expand Recreation programs and Assist Adv Cove Manager in developing programs.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties assigned by Recreation Director.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Recreation or relevant experience.
- Valid Drivers License
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will assist the recreation director in managing all employees within the recreation department.
Work Environment:
Work is performed mainly at our recreation building and outside.
Physical Demands:
Primarily stationery such as sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time. Must have the ability to stand, walk, talk/hear, both in person and by telephone, occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50-pounds and items sometimes repeatedly.
Expected Hours of Work:
8:00am 4:30pm Monday through Friday with occasional nights and weekends.
Travel:
Less than 10% travel required.
