What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resort Grounds: Maintenance position at Madden's on Gull Lake?

Maddens is currently seeking Seasonal Resort Grounds Maintenance positions who will be involved in all aspects of the grounds and landscaping for Maddens on Gull.
- Operates a Toro, John Deere, or EZ-GO utility vehicle.
- Walk designated area of the resort and pick up trash and debris including roads, parking lots and turf grass areas.
- May clean beaches of weeds and dead fish daily.
- Operates a commercial grade zero-turn 54 deck mower.
- Mows larger turf areas on the resort grounds as directed by the Resort Grounds Foreman.
- May be asked to pull a variety of weeds from flower beds and gardens.
- Reports any landscape or irrigation problems to the Resort Grounds Foreman.
- Cleans utility vehicle and other equipment at wash pad.
- Fills out work orders for mechanics to perform any necessary maintenance or repairs to utility vehicles.
- Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by the Assistant Superintendent including but not limited to laying sod, leaf clean up, brush cutting around steep banks, wood splitting and more.
- Complete daily chores as assigned on job board.
- Operates equipment safely and is aware of associates and their prospective work areas.
- Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Golf and Grounds Assistant superintendent.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- MUST wear proper footwear and protective equipment.
- Understands and adheres to Maddens Smoking and Tobacco Products policy.
- Attending training and staff meetings.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Able to respond respectfully and knowledgeably to guest questions.
- Weekend shifts are required at the discretion of the Grounds foreman.

- Communications skills should be at a level where employees can converse with guests and other employees.
- Ability to work in a team and coordinate work functions with fellow workers.

Education/Experience:
Valid drivers license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
Work is performed mainly outside on golf courses or in a maintenance shop. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, fumes and airborne particles.
Physical Demands:
Primarily walking or standing for prolonged periods of time. Must have the ability to stand, walk, talk/hear, both in person and by telephone, occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50-pound boxes and sometimes up to 100 pounds.
Travel:
Less than 10% travel required.
