Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service while managing the flow of the restaurant. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a welcoming atmosphere will be key to ensuring a positive dining experience for all patrons.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist them with seating arrangements.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently, ensuring timely seating for all guests.
- Operate the cash register and process payments accurately using POS systems, including Aloha POS.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about menu items and making reservations as needed.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the front-of-house area.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Provide support in other areas of the restaurant as needed, contributing to a team-oriented environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective guest interaction.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are necessary for handling inquiries and reservations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
