Field Service Technician
Duties:
- Operate a crane to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment
- Inspect the crane before and after each use to ensure it is in proper working condition
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or damage to property
- Communicate with team members to coordinate lifts and ensure safe operations
- Use hand signals or radios to communicate with ground crew during lifting operations
- Maintain accurate records of lifts, including load weights, times, and any incidents or issues that arise
- Perform field service and maintenance on municipal & industrial pumps and motors
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
- Fabricate and repair components as needed
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and parts used
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients
- Perform high voltage electrical work as required
- Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficient in fabricating and repairing components
- Crane experience helpful but we are willing to train
- Knowledge of hydraulics systems and troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent customer service skills
- Familiarity with high voltage electrical systems
- Background in industrial and municipal lift station experience a plus
- Ability to analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements
- Commercial driving: Possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) for operating a crane truck
- Forklift operation: Experience operating forklifts for loading and unloading materials
- Warehouse knowledge: Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
- Shipping and receiving: Understanding of shipping and receiving processes in a logistics environment
- Mechanical knowledge: Basic understanding of mechanical systems and equipment maintenance
- Heavy equipment operation: Proficiency in operating heavy machinery, including cranes and boom trucks
- Assist in the shop with repairs and general duties when not on service calls.
