CRANE OPERATOR
Youngquist Brothers LLC is a privately owned well drilling company, proud to be vertically integrated, self-sustaining, and busier than we have ever been. Leaning on over 50 years of experience in the field, Youngquist Brothers well drilling division is the leader in large diameter deep injection well drilling, with the introduction of the E-Rig allowing us to stay at the forefront of drilling technology.
Youngquist Brothers LLC is seeking an individual with crane experience.
Schedule: Monday – Friday full-time
Location: Jobsites throughout South Florida
Pay: $25 for CDL driving & $40 for crane operating
Insurance benefits after 90 days including medical, dental, vision, life and supplementary (AD&D, STD, etc.), 401K.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Crane operator of company owned cranes on our job sites located throughout South Florida.
Operate different type of cranes (i.e. Tadano ATF 110, Terex Crossover 6000, Tadano 50T Rough Terrain)
- Telescopic crane cert only. No LBC cranes.
- Precisely place one off, non-replaceable loads in certain areas with crane
- Support inspection and maintenance of hydraulic cranes (as listed above)
- Tilt, dip and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under and/or around obstacles using multi-point rigging techniques
- Crane-cab duties, in addition to assisting with rigging, and performing different rigging challenges
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Authorization to work in the United States (FLORIDA)
- Pass a background check and drug test
· Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.
Position Qualifications:
- CDL Class A license with Tanker, Hazmat and TWIC
- Qualified candidates should possess 3 years of relevant experience
- Valid NCCCO Certified Crane Operator with medical card, TLL (Telescopic Boom crane with swing cab).
- Ability to calculate and determine appropriate lifting equipment, as well as strong working knowledge of lifting signals and communication
- Ability to comply with safety standards
- A DOT Physical is required.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
- Ability to travel
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years of experience operating crawler cranes, hydraulic cranes, rigging and equipment (i.e. shackles, straps, slings rope, hoists, etc)
- Experience working with delicate lifting operations (ex. wind farms, power plants, oil refinery industries)
- Experience with tear-down and build of crawler cranes
- NCCER/NCCCO (National Center for Construction Education and Research) Rigging Certification a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions in small opening and climbing hand over hand, lifting 50 lbs., and working on ladders/lifts at elevated heights
- Ability to work in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise
