INTAKE SPECIALIST/ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
Key Job Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer assistance to callers and guests, appropriately direct consumers using updated staff directories and listings of community resources.
- Utilize strong communication skills to convey information clearly and accurately to callers and guests.
- Become proficient in using consumer database. Track staff input including case notes and do management reports as requested.
- Provide database training and database technical assistance to staff.
- Participate in ongoing database training and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Support continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions to staff.
- Handle mail and fax communications.
- Any other responsibility as assigned by management.
- Strongly prefer Bachelor’s Degree in human services , business, finance or similar field.
- Associate’s Degree and one year’s applicable experience. Minimum H.S. diploma or G.E.D. and three years’ applicable work experience
- Able to offer compassionate support to those, many of whom may be facing challenging life’s circumstances.
- Trustworthiness in handling sensitive information. May need to be HIPAA compliance trained after hiring.
- Build strong professional relationships with staff.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have ability to write clearly and concisely. Attention to details.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Outlook and general computer proficiency.
- Fluency in language other than English, a plus
- Team-oriented but able to work independently.
