Monona Terrace is looking for employees to provide a variety of custodial and set-up/teardown activities for events at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center. The work is performed under the general direction of the Assistant Operations Managers and Operations Lead Workers. The duties involve working cooperatively with other Operations team members to ensure that customer needs are being met, and having regular contact with the general public and customers. The work is performed in accordance with established procedures, methods and routines, and is reviewed through inspection and observation of assigned work areas.
HOURS: Anticipated hours of work will vary. Work is performed on 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts, 7 days a week. Must be available for either day, evening, or overnight shift work, as well as weekend and holiday schedules. Work is on a flexible schedule from week to week with hours varying from 0-20 hours per week. Work hours are NOT guaranteed.
The hourly wage consists of a base wage of $18.03 per hour plus a $2.50 per hour bonus.

Employees perform a variety of custodial and set-up/tear-down activities for events, including:
- Setting-up and tearing-down equipment, such as tables, chairs, risers, dance floors and staging materials;
- Moving equipment and materials between storage and event rooms;
- Performing custodial and cleaning tasks, such as cleaning, sweeping, moping, dusting, scrubbing and waxing floors and stairways;
- Vacuuming carpeted areas; Spot and extract carpeted areas;
- Cleaning, dusting, polishing and shampooing furniture and other office, room and lobby equipment;
- Emptying waste receptacles and disposing of trash;
- Cleaning restrooms;
- Performing minor maintenance functions;
- Other duties as assigned.

- Lift 100 pounds occasionally and 20 - 25 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to operate material moving equipment and cleaning equipment (e.g. floor buffers, waxers, sweepers, etc).
- Stand and walk for long periods of time.
