Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support for IT-related issues, including troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
- Manage and maintain computer systems, ensuring all devices are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
- Assist with the configuration and setup of new hardware and software installations.
- Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues, including VPN and DNS configurations.
- Document all support requests and resolutions using IT management tools such as Remedy.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance IT processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on systems to prevent potential issues.
- Support users in both Windows and Linux environments, ensuring they have the necessary tools to perform their tasks effectively.
Skills
- Proficient in TCP/IP networking concepts and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with DNS management and VPN configurations.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems is a plus.
- Solid understanding of Windows operating systems and computer management practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on providing effective IT support.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to assist users effectively.
- Previous experience in a help desk or technical support role is preferred.
