Turf Technician

Madison Lawn and Landscape is looking for an experienced and motivated individual who is ready to elevate their career within the green industry! A Turf Technician is responsible for applying fertilizers, herbicides, and other lawn treatments to ensure our clients' lawns are healthy, vibrant, and weed-free. This work not only elevates the quality of the landscapes but also helps build lasting relationships with our clients, as they rely on our skill to keep their lawns in top condition.

Here's What You'd Do

• Apply fertilizer/herbicide/pesticide/other chemicals correctly and safely
• Work independently or as a team to complete daily tasks while upholding our standards of work.
• Utilize mobile software to log daily production
• Safely operate lawn care equipment
• Drive a truck pulling a trailer
• Load equipment on and off a trailer safely
• Clean and maintain the equipment. Report to our mechanic if maintenance is needed.
• Work with other divisions to achieve company goals

You Might Be a Good Fit If You Have

• SD Applicator's License required
• Experience in the green industry or horticulture background
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Dependable transportation to and from work
• Willingness to learn and improve
• Good time management and organization skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, bend and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to operate equipment within the industry

Success in This Position Looks Like:

• Consistent attendance and positive communication
• Timely execution of daily tasks and production logs
• Safe and accurate application of chemicals
• Proper vehicle and equipment maintenance and care

Hours & Compensation

• Regular hours: Monday - Friday 7am-4pm. Overtime hours available and, at times, required.
• 1-2 years of experience:
• $18.00 - $20.00
• Position type: Full-time
• Year-round employment with snow removal services

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist other departments as requested by management.
• Perform snow removal services during winter months.
• Undertake other tasks as assigned by management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
