Madison Lighting is looking for candidates for a full-time position in residential lighting sales and design. Sounds technical? Well parts of it are, but not to worry, if you have the right personality and a flare for interior design, we’ll teach you the rest.


About the Job:

Our lighting consultants meet with homeowners, builders, interior designers, and electricians who need help designing and selecting lighting for their projects. Our award-winning showroom along with a sound reputation for providing quality products and superior service are cornerstones to our steady success. Salaries are paid on an hourly basis plus a commission incentive on top of that. There is no cap on commission dollars, your earnings potential is unlimited. Working the occasional Saturday is a requirement but compensating days off are scheduled.

A full complement of health, dental, life, and disability insurance along with paid vacation and holidays, 401K plan, and profit sharing are offered for full-time employment.


What it takes:

A friendly and helpful personality will be your most important qualification. A degree in interior design or experience in a home décor related field would be helpful but not mandatory. The ability to multi-task while remaining organized and provide timely and detailed follow-up with customers is key. Basic computer skills are needed.


Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients to understand their lighting needs and preferences, providing tailored solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase lighting designs.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective marketing strategies and drive business development.
  • Utilize negotiation skills to close sales and manage client accounts effectively.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technology to enhance customer service and support.

Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $46,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
