What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Room- Patient Safety Sitter-(FT) position at Madison Memorial Hospital?
Implements and maintains patient care activities specific to the age and needs of the patient population served in the Emergency Department. They ensure that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the department’s standards of care. They demonstrate performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization; remain flexible to changing systems; are expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treat staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect.
Schedule: Days
- 6am-6pm
- 3/12 hour shifts
- Rotating weekends
- Benefit eligible
Required Skills:
1. Skills related to Patient Sitter.
2. Ability to become competent in electronic medical record and associated applications.
3. Basic computer skills.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Minimum Work Experience:
1. One year of experience in a health care setting preferred.
2. CNA preferred
Minimum Education:
1. Healthcare provider BLS within one year of hire.
