Youth Sports Camp Field Supervisor - Summer 2025
Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) is Madison’s public recreation provider. MSCR offers a wide variety of athletic, recreational, arts and enrichment activities and classes for all ages in an accessible, inclusive setting. Programs include swimming instruction, MSCR on the Move, arts & enrichment classes, youth summer camps, sports camps & clinics, adult & 50 fitness, adult sport leagues including pickleball, softball and tennis, and a wide variety of outdoor pursuits including paddling sports, pontoon trips, camping, orienteering and challenge courses.
As a department of the Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD), MSCR also provides afterschool enrichment activities, clubs and sports as well as summer programming in Madison elementary, middle and high schools, Allied Learning Center and Meadowood Neighborhood Center. Afterschool clubs and sports include: arts & enrichment, homework/academic clubs, drama, dance, skiing, soccer, basketball, volleyball, cross country and much more!
Program Description:
MSCR Youth Sports Camps provide a full day (hours 8am-4:30pm) of physical activity, focusing on having fun through sports skills, promoting active lifestyles, and fostering teamwork, cooperation, and sportsmanship. Weekly themes may specialize in a single sport in the morning, and in the afternoons we will explore other sports and group games.
Job Description & Duties:
The Youth Sports Camp Field Supervisor will assist the Sports Specialist with the coordination and implementation of three sports camps throughout the Madison community.
This position will meet the day to day needs of the camps: Equipment drop off and pick up, program set up and tear down, and assisting in managing staff.
This position will work closely with the Sports Specialist to ensure daily program needs are met
Start Date: 6/16/2025
Work Location: Cherokee Middle School, Van Hise Elementary, Elvehjem Elementary
Hours/week: 25 - 40 hours per week
Work hours: 8am -4pm

Payrate: 20.00 - 22.40 /hour
Minimum Qualifications:
- Staff supervision Experience working in a youth sports or camp setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced in running day camps
- Previous youth sports programming experience
