Director of Perioperative Services- (Exe)
The Director of Perioperative Services (DOPS) at Madison Memorial Hospital (MMH) assumes responsibility and accountability for incorporating the vision, values, mission and key goals of the organization into their job performance across our multisite surgical services departments. Demonstrating leadership and clinical management and operational direction of areas of responsibility, serves as a tactical point person for patient care, staff and program development, provider relationships, quality initiatives, and overall organizational success. Assures evidence-based patient care by creating an environment that encourages the use of current perioperative practice standards. Key characteristics for this position are clear and direct communication skills, transformational leadership style that combines and grows multiple services, works collaboratively with staff and providers, and adapts to changes occurring rapidly in health care requirements and regulations. The Director of Perioperative Services has the business acumen to lead complex financial and resource intense departments.

Required Skills:
1. Has a broad knowledge of the perioperative process related to patient care and use of equipment and supplies.
2. Good interpersonal skills to work with staff and providers on a professional level.
3. Ability to interact with Vendor Representatives on a professional level
Minimum Work Experience:
1. Minimum of five (5) years perioperative experience, i.e., scrubbing and circulating.
2. Previous leadership experience, preferred
Minimum Education:
1. Graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from an accredited program, required.
Consideration given to those who are currently enrolled and participating in an approved program.
2. Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Idaho, compact license will be accepted while license is being transferred.
