Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Supervise and lead a team of toolmakers and technicians, providing training, mentorship, and support.
- Tool Design and Development: Oversee the design and development of tooling for various manufacturing processes such as stamping and CNC machining.
- Maintenance and Repair: Ensure that tools and dies are maintained, repaired, and adjusted to maintain optimal productivity and reduce downtime.
- Production Scheduling: Coordinate with production teams to schedule tooling requirements, ensuring tools and dies are available when needed and downtime is minimized.
- Quality Control: Monitor tooling to ensure it meets required specifications and quality standards; implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Inventory Management: Manage tooling inventory, including ordering materials, managing spare parts, and ensuring tools are available for use when needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, production teams, and other departments to ensure tooling meets production needs and timelines.
- Safety: Ensure all tools and dies are used safely and that team members follow safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is preferred. Certifications in toolmaking, machining, or related fields may be advantageous (e.g., Journeyman Tool and Die certification).

Experience:
- At least 5-7 years of experience in tool and die making or a related field, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong experience with CAD software, CNC machining, and die design.
- Knowledge of metalworking, machining processes, and materials.
- Knowledge of SAP

- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of tooling, machining, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Work Environment:
- The role typically operates in a manufacturing setting, requiring regular use of machinery, power tools, and computer systems. Safety equipment such as gloves, goggles, and steel-toe boots is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
