WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS POSITION…

As the Host for Alcove kitchen bar, you are responsible for setting the tone for the experience of every guest as they enter our restaurant. Whether a guest needs directing to the Private Event they are attending, has prior reservation or is walking in with friends to enjoy an award winning MadTree beverage, you will be driving their experience through the warm and welcoming experience you provide. With a responsibility of seating guests and transitioning their experience to their server for the evening you will also help to keep tables clean and sanitized throughout the restaurant as well as other tasks to help your team. You will also be an avid MadTree Brewing Company ambassador who lives out our behaviors of Connect, Grow, and Give a F*ck.

We’re ideally looking for someone with 1 years experience as a host, busser, runner or similar role in a restaurant, bar, or other hospitality environment (but we are willing to train), and some of your responsibilities will include…

• Delivering a warm and welcoming experience to all guests; facilitating all guest requests and needs, and resolving or escalating appropriately any guest concerns or issues.
• Answering all phone calls to the restaurant, answering questions and passing on important information or escalating to the General Manager or Manager on Duty where required.
• Managing and updating guest reservations of all sizes utilizing OpenTable.
• Acting as the first point of contact for the collection of all to-go and DoorDash orders.
• Providing assistance with polishing glassware and silverware, running food, bussing tables, and keeping the restaurant and other work areas clean, and being ready and willing to help with other job-related duties and restaurant tasks as needed.
