Maesa is currently seeking an individual to join our Los Angeles based team as a Junior industrial designer. This role reports to our Industrial Design Director. The Los Angeles office is on a hybrid in-office schedule. Designers report three days a week in office with two days work-from-home. Roles and responsibilities will expand to other areas based on candidate’s skill-level and performance.

Core Responsibilities

• Contribute creative development of product and packaging industrial designs that push the company’s heritage of innovation while uniquely driving our client’s individual brand imagery
• Design for multiple global brands within contracted lead times
• Support in new brand packaging conception and development
• Assist in conceptualization, design and production of primary and secondary packaging, collateral marketing material, seasonal gift sets, in-store marketing materials, and product designs.
• Assist in the design of in-store merchandising and displays
• Creating comps and samples (both 2D and 3D)
• Creation of product digital renderings and some digital photography.
• Be a team player with MAESA’s existing dynamic design team, (both Graphic and Industrial Designers).
• A passion for the trend driven beauty industry

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design minimum
• 1-3 years of experience in Industrial Design field.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD Fusion required
• Knowledge of Keyshot required
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong visualization skills, and Industrial Design Sketching required.
• Ability to work independently and with the Industrial Design, Graphic Design, and Marketing, and Engineering teams
• Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities when needed.

What We Offer   

$68,640/yr - $75,000/yr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus plan based on individual and company performance.
