We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer/Editor to join our team and contribute to the development of technical documentation. As a Technical Writer/Editor, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of our technical documents.
About the Role:
This role requires strong technical writing and editing skills, as well as experience with tactical radio equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality technical documentation that meets CDRL specifications, editing technical documents for accuracy, clarity, and consistency, and creating user manuals, test plans and procedures, specifications, white papers, and equipment training materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing technical documentation, including IETM/ETM and IKTBs
- Editing technical documents for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
- Creating user manuals, test plans and procedures, specifications, white papers, and equipment training materials
- Working closely with engineering teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of documentation
- Proofreading all text, tabular, and illustration pages for errors and making necessary corrections
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years relevant work experience in technical writing and editing
- Experience with tactical radio equipment, including SINCGARS Radio Sets, legacy ASIP Radio Sets, High Frequency (HF) Radios Sets, SATCOM Radios, and software defined radios
- Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and translate into easily understandable documents
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Adobe Professional
- SharePoint skills and 2-5 years of technical writing experience
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in English or a related field
