About the Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee critical accounting functions, prepare financial reports, and provide strategic insights to help guide business decisions. Reporting directly to Executive Management, this role is perfect for a driven professional with a strong background in accounting and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate financial statements, reports, and reconciliations to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage monthly and annual financial close processes, including journal entries and variance analyses.
- Analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with Executive Management to develop and implement accounting policies and best practices.
- Oversee cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to align with company objectives.
- Provide support for audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team to foster a high-performance culture.
- Enhance and streamline accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency.
- Administer and oversee payroll and employee benefit programs to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
- Evaluate and oversee renewal and acquisition of insurance policies.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA not required).
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in financial services or lending.
- 3 to 5 years of experience leading and managing a team.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Advanced mathematical and accounting skills, demonstrating critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Process-oriented, with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly to Executive Management.
