Marketing Director

We are currently looking for a Marketing Director for our school. The Director of Marketing at MDY is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to enhance the school’s brand, drive enrollment, and strengthen community engagement. This role includes overseeing digital and print communications, social media, advertising, and event marketing, ensuring consistency in messaging and alignment with MDY’s mission. The Director will collaborate with administration, faculty, and stakeholders to craft compelling content, manage public relations, and analyze marketing effectiveness. Strong leadership, creativity, and data-driven decision-making are key to success in this role.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Work with the school leadership and Board of Directors in the planning and execution of overall marketing strategy.
• Ensure message and brand consistency across MDY’s materials.
• Create marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic.
• With input from school leadership, create and execute strategies for increasing and leveraging social media audiences.
• Write and post content to MDY’s social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube).
• Maintain inventory of marketing collateral.
• Develop marketing communications campaigns.
• Research media coverage and industry trends.
• Work with all school departments to provide content and editing for internal and external communications, and guidance on best practices.
• Explore new social media and content-sharing websites as they arise to evaluate their potential usefulness for MDY.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or relevant experience.
• Must have extensive experience with graphic design software and online marketing tools and AI powered design tools for marketing and branding
• Must have strong leadership skills, be creative and possess data-driven decision making skills
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing social media campaigns including
• Facebook, Twitter and video as an advocacy and/or educational tool; understanding of social media tools and metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to write clearly and succinctly.
• Excellent copy, editing and proofreading skills.
• Familiarity with basic HTML, CSS, web design best practices a plus.
• Strong knowledge of WordPress or other content management systems.
• Knowledge of and experience with mainstream media.
• Familiar with the Jewish community preferred.
