Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Toddler Teacher to join our dynamic team! This position requires a dedicated professional who is passionate about early childhood development and has experience working with toddlers in a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about creating a positive learning experience for young children, fostering their emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to engage toddlers in learning and exploration.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment where toddlers feel secure, valued, and supported.
- Promote social, emotional, and cognitive development through hands-on experiences.
- Monitor and assess each child’s progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Encourage positive behavior and emotional development using effective guidance techniques.
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding children’s progress and daily activities.
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and conducive to learning.
- Follow all state licensing and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required), CDA (Child Development Associate) or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
- Experience working with toddlers or in a childcare setting.
- Knowledge of child development and early childhood education practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Patient, caring, and energetic with a passion for early childhood education.
- Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Child Care Training (required).
- First Aid/CPR certification (preferred, or willingness to obtain).
