POSITION SUMMARY
The Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the plant, ensuring that production goals, quality standards, and safety regulations are met. This position involves supervising a team of workers, managing production schedules, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the smooth functioning of plant activities. The Plant Supervisor plays a key role in driving productivity and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.

Essential Functions:
- Oversee the daily operations of the plant, ensuring production goals are met efficiently and on schedule.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of operators, technicians, and other staff to meet performance expectations. Monitor and improve employee productivity, morale, and development.
- Ensure that all products meet quality standards and comply with internal and external regulations. Troubleshoot any quality issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Enforce and promote adherence to all safety protocols and guidelines. Monitor and enforce compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations to create a safe working environment.
- Coordinate production schedules, ensuring the timely procurement of materials, managing workflows, and adjusting as necessary to meet production deadlines.
- Monitor the operation of machinery and equipment. Ensure that preventive maintenance is performed on time and equipment downtime is minimized.
- Prepare and maintain daily production reports, logbooks, and other documentation. Report on plant performance, production issues, and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and work with corporate to implement changes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist in managing the plant's budget, monitor costs, and take necessary actions to meet financial goals.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Competencies:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with material planning and production planning preferred.
- Ability to follow directions & a strong willingness to learn.
- Strong verbal, non-verbal and written communication.
- Proficient in computer systems
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High school diploma or GED. Associate degree preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in a leadership role; preferably in manufacturing.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in an open building/outdoor setting, in all weather conditions, including temperature extremes, during day and evening shifts. Work is often performed in an urgent manner with stressful situations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
