We are seeking a skilled and motivated hourly Project Coordinator to oversee and be hands-on for various remodeling, display building, and light construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, leadership abilities, a hands-on approach to project management and the ability to be flexible with hours. This role will involve coordinating with Sales, Operations, Maintenance and tradespeople, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Light Construction: hands-on work on projects to include, painting, dry wall, handyman work, use of forklifts,
- Project Coordination: Lead and coordinate remodeling and light construction projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Team Support: At times, oversee and direct the work of one or more associates and subcontractors, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Materials/Supplies Coordination: Assist in procuring and planning for material requirements.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work meets company standards and complies with local building codes and regulations.
- Issue Resolution: Identify potential challenges and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety compliance and training, ensuring a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting safety meetings with project team when required.
- Support: Support various customer activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 2 years of relevant experience in remodeling, light construction, or a related field.
- Additional technical training or certifications in construction management is a plus.
- Travel up to 25%, requires travel overnight at times as well as flexibility with daily hours. Must have valid driver's license and valid vehicle insurance.
- Knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, team members, and subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- PIT certification or ability to be certified.
- Minimum Advance Level in reading, writing, and speaking English. Bilingual Spanish a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with construction work, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work at heights.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
