Portfolio Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to oversee and drive the strategic alignment, governance, and execution of portfolio initiatives within a dynamic IT environment. This role will facilitate portfolio planning, prioritize investments, and provide financial oversight to ensure business objectives are met effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in portfolio management, Agile methodologies, and enterprise project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead portfolio management processes, ensuring strategic alignment between IT and business objectives.
• Provide full visibility into the portfolio, including roadmap development and solution investments.
• Facilitate prioritization decisions and investment strategies to maximize business value.
• Manage Portfolio Kanban boards, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Organize and lead portfolio alignment, spend profile, and prioritization meetings.
• Partner with financial analysts and business leaders to track portfolio budgets and forecasts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including OCM, PMO, and Quality CoE to enhance portfolio effectiveness.
• Track and analyze portfolio flow, capacity, and business value metrics (OKRs, Portfolio Value Levers).
• Communicate tool configuration and dashboard development needs for portfolio measurement.
• Prepare and present regular portfolio status updates to senior leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a Portfolio Manager in an Agile environment.
• 5 years of enterprise project management experience handling large-scale, transformational IT initiatives.
• Strong understanding of Portfolio Management frameworks (SAFe Lean Portfolio Management is a plus).
• Expertise in strategic planning, roadmap development, and financial oversight.
• Experience creating and managing Portfolio roadmaps, Kanban boards, and dashboards.
• Strong communication and executive reporting skills, with the ability to interact with C-level executives.
• Proficiency in JIRA and other project management tools is a plus.
• Ability to negotiate, solve problems, resolve conflicts, and influence decision-making across teams.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• PMP, Agile, or SAFe certifications is a Plus.
