We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Sales Manager to drive business growth in process piping systems, plumbing services, and maintenance within the industrial and manufacturing sectors. This role requires a strategic sales leader with a deep understanding of industrial construction and mechanical services. The ideal candidate will have a strong network, technical knowledge, and a proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities in industrial construction, focusing on piping, millwright services, HVAC, plumbing, and maintenance.
Client Management: Build and maintain relationships with industrial and manufacturing clients, understanding their mechanical service needs and offering actual solutions.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales plans to meet revenue and growth targets.
Technical Expertise: Provide clients with technical solutions and recommendations for mechanical systems and services.
Proposal Development: Work with the preconstruction group to prepare and present proposals, bids, and cost estimates for industrial mechanical projects.
Collaboration: Work closely with preconstruction, engineering, operations, and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies in industrial mechanical services.
Reporting: Track and report sales performance, forecasts, and key metrics to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Minimum 5 years in sales within the industrial construction, mechanical contracting, or related industries.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of piping systems, millwright services, HVAC, plumbing, and industrial maintenance.
Sales Ability: Proven track record of generating leads, closing deals, and growing revenue.
Technical Acumen: Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and industry codes.
Communication: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Business, Construction Management, or equivalent specific experience.
Travel: Ability to travel as needed in the North Texas area to client sites and industry events.
