Verantwortlichkeiten: Mission of the Position: The Advanced Logistics Engineer (ALE) will lead the planning phase for assigned programs and hand over to the production site for the program launch phase executing the required deliverables according to the Global Program Management System (GPMS) and APQP requirements. The ALE will have a strong focus on cost targets by optimizing the supply chain, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient flow of materials and products throughout the supply chain. The ALE considers new and innovative software, automation, technologies, and best use of installed equipment at the production site. The ALE works to develop and implement strategies using balance charts and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) while improving efficiency, and reducing costs by using advanced analytics, automation, and innovative solutions with the support of the Logistics Engineers (LE’s) from the planned production site while ensuring timely delivery of project objectives. The ALE creates plans that will optimize work force utilization, minimize space requirements, and optimize material flow by using World Class Logistics standards (line side material presentation, warehousing, inventory levels and reorder points). The ALE utilizes product and customer requirements to create specifications for packaging design along with a Plan for Every Part (PFEP), developing and applying supply chain principles, transportation regulations and safety standards for the overall fleet analysis. The ALE collaborates with vendors to procure, setup and implement tooling and equipment on time into the production site along with the support of Logistics Engineers (LE’s). The ALE will support Program Management, Purchasing, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Finance during the quoting process. Key Responsibilities: Lead new quotation activities by providing KP08 program deliverables. This includes developing the Logistics Concept, Layout, Infrastructure, Equipment, IT Systems, and IT Equipment. In addition, Cost Estimates to include tooling, planning and launch costs along with developing Master Timing charts to achieve all KP08 program deliverables. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including purchasing, and production site personnel to ensure alignment with supply chain objectives. Develop and implement complex supply chain network models using advanced simulation tools to optimize transportation routes, warehouse locations, inventory levels, and distribution channels across multiple regions. Utilizing advanced analytics tools to forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, identify trends and opportunities for improvement in Logistics processes, including cost reduction, lead time optimization, and quality control. Collaborate closely with the Logistics Engineers of the production sites to design Supermarket and line side material presentations, along with specific packaging designs for each component. Oversee complex international shipping operations, including customs compliance, freight forwarding, and carrier selection. Develop and implement sustainable Logistics practices, including carbon footprint reduction, waste management, and eco-friendly transportation options. Evaluate and implement new Logistics technologies, including warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), radio frequency identification (RFID), and automation systems (AGV’s \ AMR’s \ ASRS’s) to streamline operations and support supply chain visibility. Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or another related field. 8 years to include experience as a: Inventory Analyst, Logistics Engineer, and Logistics Specialist. Strong understanding of Logistics principles, international trade regulations, incoterms, tax tariffs, transportation Logistics, supply chain management, and warehousing operations. Proven record of managing complex supply chains and driving significant cost savings. Expertise in data analysis, reporting, and utilizing advanced Logistics software. Staying abreast of emerging Logistics technologies and trends to identify potential applications for future business needs. Self-motivated problem-solving leader, a team player with the ability to both lead a team and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, Spanish is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project and Power BI. Experience with Balance Charts and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) Experience with Just-In-Time (JIT), Pull Systems and Magna Factory (MAFACT) Working knowledge of SAP / QS / ISO / TS / IATF, GD&T, APQP and PPAP Preferred Certifications: Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD). Health & Safety/Magna Standards/Additional Requirements: Practice and maintain integrity while following Magna’s Charter and Constitution. Follow Magna’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies. Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management system (IATF 16949). Drive the development of new technologies to improve quality, efficiency and reduce cost. Comply with safety policies and procedures to ensure duties of self are performed in a safe manner.
