This is a Credit Manager position.
Full-time on-site M-F
We’re hiring a Credit Manager for an established and rapidly growing company in the building products industry. Responsibilities
- Owning all credit and collections, credit worthiness, working very closely with sales and leading a team of 7
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls for credit and AR processes
- Evaluate client creditworthiness through financial reviews and credit report
- Drive collection activities, maintain performance metrics, and improve DS
- Contribute to financial planning and ensure smooth monthly closing
- Knowledge of state tax regulation
- Establish regular reporting of daily, weekly, and monthly activities, including aging metrics, to track and assess performance outcome
- Mentor and manage team members to ensure continuous development and a collaborative environment
- Manage the daily Credit and Collections Team.
- Evaluate credit worthiness for new and existing customers - looking at reports, financial statements
- Working on some bankruptcy files and owning 10,000 invoices and 30M$/M in volume, 10-15% past due collections.
- Support financial planning by designing and implementing strategies
- Ensure all entries/transactions are posted for smooth closing during the month and at month-end.
- Hiring
- Ability to plan, establish, manage, and modify collection policies, procedures, and standards.
- Management responsibilities include work planning, delegation of assignments, motivation, and mentoring to foster a cooperative and collaborative work environment.
- State sales tax processing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Business, or Finance with 7 years in credit management, including leadership experience
- Proven experience in wholesale, retail, and distribution sectors
- Proficient Excel skills and a strong grasp of ERP systems (bonus if you have Epicor).
- Management is required
- Ideally worked in manufacturing, building materials, wholesale, distribution to large enterprise and SMB is ideal
- Knowledge of ERPs used in financial and/or accounting applications.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, guidelines, and standards in area of expertise.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable principles, procedures, standards, and documentation
Compensation:
BASE: 130-140K Benefits On-site Full Time
