About the Role
MagnaCare is seeking an experienced and people-focused HR Generalist to lead HR support for our Las Vegas-based employees while contributing to broader HR initiatives across our organization. As the primary HR partner for our Las Vegas location, you’ll lead local HR operations and serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers. You’ll also collaborate with HR colleagues and business leaders across other sites to support cross-functional initiatives in employee relations, recruitment, and compliance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead HR operations and employee support for the Las Vegas team.
- Manage labor relations activities, including working closely with shop stewards, supporting contract interpretation, and addressing grievances.
- Support recruitment efforts for both local and multi-site roles, including interviewing and onboarding.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and performance matters.
- Contribute to enterprise-wide HR initiatives and process improvements across multiple locations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Partner with leadership on employee engagement, culture-building, and DE&I efforts
Essential Qualifications
- 5–10 years of broad HR experience, including direct labor relations and union experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and labor practices in Nevada and beyond.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Hands-on recruitment experience, including full-cycle hiring.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across locations and work independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) a plus.
