Leadership and Communication:
As a Youth Development Professional, you will play a critical role in creating a stimulating environment that facilitates youth development outcomes. Your exceptional leadership and communication skills will enable you to promote program participation, register new members, and provide guidance and role modeling. You will also demonstrate leadership in conduct, safety, and development of members, effectively implementing and administering programs, and monitoring and evaluating activities to ensure quality and appearance. Additionally, you will oversee proper record keeping and reporting, participate in staff meetings, and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience working with children, and knowledge of youth development. You should also possess the ability to motivate youth, manage behavior problems, and deal with the general public. Furthermore, you must be able to plan and implement quality programs, organize and supervise members in a safe environment, and hold CPR and First Aid Certifications. A valid State Driver's License is also required.
