Job Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Med-Surg unit is responsible for providing direct patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers, and ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment and Care:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient assessment and physician orders.
- Clinical Decision-Making:
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to medical protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs, lab results, and clinical progress, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure positive patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding the plan of care and any changes in condition.
