The Assistant Controller will serve as a key member of the Finance team, assisting the Controller and
Chief Financial Officer in ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of financial data.

Job Description
The Assistant Controller will serve as a key member of the Finance team, assisting the Controller and
Chief Financial Officer in ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of financial data.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assists the Controller in managing grant billing and reporting
- Ensures compliance with state and federal grants
- Monitors and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy of the general ledger
- Assists in month-end closing
- Manages and tracks cash balance through reconciliation and approval of payments
- Helps to manage HR needs for the company including job postings, onboarding, benefits, 401k,
- Processes payroll on bi-monthly basis
- Assists Accounting Specialist with accounts payables, ensuring expenditures comply with grant
- Ensures adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
- Assists with preparing documentation for audits, tax filings, and grant reporting
- Performs other related duties as assigned

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required
- Three to six years of experience working in accounting is required
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or similar is preferred
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system is preferred
