We are currently seeking applicants for an Appraisal Administrator
Qualified Candidates will be responsible for:
- Coordinate with loan officers and processors to order appraisals or evaluations for all core-bank loans requiring appraisals or evaluations
- Review appraisals and evaluations within Bank policy limits
- Order appraisal reviews for larger credits as needed
- Review and coordinate reconsideration of value requests as needed
- Write/prepare loan reports for Management, Board and other Committees as needed
- Serve as Secretary of Board-level committees to be determined annually
- Analyze data on new, renewal, and existing loans, including data provided by applicants, credit bureaus, and bank files to develop credit metrics such as DSCR and repayment capacity
- Conduct annual reviews of customer financial information
- Prepare financial analysis and draft credit memorandum/loan presentation for Loan/Leasing Officers and bank committees
- Be available and prepared to answer questions related to the appraisal ordering and review process
- Assist with procedures that support the lending function of the organization, including implementation within any related software or other resources
- Exemplify commitment to the vision, mission, and core values of the Bank
- Support management in analysis of data or other projects that require research
- Attend seminars and/or training that furthers knowledge, improves process, and promotes new ideas
- Other projects/duties as assigned by manager
Candidates must also have knowledge in:
Thorough knowledge of:
- Federal banking regulations and guidance including appraisal standards and how they relate to Magnolia Bank’s lending policies and procedures
- Loan documentation requirements in regard to both federal regulations and bank policy
- Magnolia Bank’s loan policies and procedures
- Business development, credit underwriting, and loan structuring
Ability to:
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with other departments within the bank
- Maintain confidential business relationships
- Exercise time management and organizational skills
- Analyze and understand financial and cash flow analyses
- Organize activities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Maintain flexibility in a changing environment
Enter Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in a business-related subject or three years of related banking or accounting experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and email software and use of the Internet
This position reports to the Credit Administration Officer.
