Our all-womens campus provides a safe place to heal with a treatment team that leads our program in a serene, 36-acre campus overlooking a pond where women can connect to nature, themselves, and one another, unburdened. Located just outside of Birmingham, Alabama, our eating disorder treatment center provides care to adolescent girls (ages 12 to 17) and adult women (ages 18 and older) who struggle with feeding or eating disorders.
Dually licensed as an eating disorder center as well as a mental health treatment center, Magnolia Creek can tailor a dual diagnosis program for co-occurring mental health conditions including mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attachment disorder, dissociative disorders, and personality disorders.
Columbiana is commutable from Shelby, Calera, Chelsea, Montevallo, Alabaster, Pelham, and commute is against traffic from Birmingham area.

How You Will Make a Difference:
The Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing the nursing operations of the facility. Manages the clinical staff and ensures the optimal care of clients seeking longer-term behavioral health services provided by Magnolia Creek (MCTCED).
Relationships and Contacts
Within the organization: Maintains frequent and close working relationships with clients, President/CEO, National Director of Admissions, Nursing, facility leadership, peers and vendors.
Outside the organization: May initiate and maintain working relationships with clinical providers, referral partners and vendors as needed and directed.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and professional guidance to clients and referring professionals seeking longer-term behavioral health services.
- Supervises and manages other licensed nursing clinicians.
- Ensures programming is defined, coordinated, staffed and delivered in a manner that provides high quality care for MCTCED clients.
- Coaches and develops nursing staff.
- Oversees weekly treatment team meetings to coordinate care, communicate client needs and progress, and ensures consistent and quality care.
- Provides ongoing training to all staff members to advance treatment skills, cultural sensitivity and compliance with licensure and accreditation standards.
- Provides oversight of utilization review process with personal involvement in difficult cases.
- Maintains client caseload and act as primary nurse for assigned clients.
- Ensures documentation is correct, up to date and is within guidelines of state and regulatory guidelines and provides training of the same.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining Joint Commission accreditation and providing oversight to other staff to maintain their compliance
- Represents MCTCED at local, regional and national eating disorder-oriented events.
- Works closely with business office and direct care support staff.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications related to Magnolia Creek Mission and population.
- Provides on-call support to the facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
What We're Seeking:
RN License. Prefer Masters Level in Nursing. Must be licensed in the state of Alabama. Five plus years of psychiatric experience in nursing. Experience in treating eating disorders is preferred. Possesses working knowledge of psychotherapy, psychopathology, diagnostic assessment and related treatment interventions. Knowledge of evidence-based treatments and ability to individualize treatment approaches to meet each client's needs. Must be able to conceptualize and implement master treatment plan with fully developed problems, objectives and goals and monitor other clinicians to do the same.

Position requires incumbent to have a valid drivers license and vehicle insurance.
