Position Overview We are seeking a personable and organized Business Assistant member to join our team at the NewDay Dental location. As the first point of contact for patients, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere while managing administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and check them in for appointments.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups to optimize the practice schedule.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and route calls to the appropriate team members.
- Verify and update patient insurance information, ensuring accuracy for billing and claims processing.
- Collect and process patient payments, including co-pays and outstanding balances.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and communication.
- Address patient questions or concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in healthcare administration is a plus.
- At least one year of experience in a dental office required.
- Proficiency in dental management software and basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).
