What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Advocate position at Magnolia Dental?

Magnolia Dental is mostly a Fee for Service , small private practice, with University of Florida graduates and husband and wife dentists and one more great dentist associate. We are proud to have a brand new office, with state of the art dental equipment and technologies, like intra Itero oral scanners , Cone Beam CT, In House Crown milling machine, Digital Xrays, etc. Our doctors practice all aspects of dentistry, from simple restorative to more advanced implants procedures. You will be the first face our patients see when they arrive to their appointment. We are looking for someone with a great personality, a true team player, with dental knowledge that can communicate well to patients about anything related to their appointments, therefore previous dental experience is a must. Our patients are the highlight of our days, most of them have been with the practice for many years and they have become family. We also receive many new patients every month. Tasks:
- Greeting and welcoming our patients to the practice as well as offering amenities like coffee, water, magazines etc
- Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed.
- Assisting patients to fill out information forms.
- Preparing patients’ charts and daily schedules for the dental staff.
- Updating patient records and documenting recent treatments and procedures.
- Scheduling follow-up appointments and providing telephonic reminders.
- Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed.
- Checking in Lab cases
- Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, filing and faxing. etc
- Checking Out Patients
- Making end of day sheet
- Possible Future Patient Advocate role with possible salary increase for the right candidate
- The Patient Advocate is responsible for ensuring that patients looking for dental treatment understand their options and receive the highest quality care.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
