Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and providing exceptional patient service. This role requires proficiency in various computerized systems, including PracticeWorks, along with understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar efficiently.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Process medical collections and manage billing inquiries.
- Utilize PracticeWorks and other computerized systems for appointment scheduling, patient management, and record keeping.
- Assist in verifying insurance coverage and eligibility for patients.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the office.
- Stay updated on medical coding practices to assist with billing processes as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical collection processes and insurance verification is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using computerized systems such as PracticeWorks is preferred. Onsite training will also be provided for PracticeWorks
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to provide outstanding patient service.
