What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech/Language Pathologist position at Magnolia Elementary?
This position is located at Baden-Powell and Schweitzer Schools. It will follow the remaining days of the 186 day teacher calendar for the 2024/25 school year and is scheduled to continue for the 2025/26 year. The assignment will begin as soon as the candidate is hired.
DEFINITION
Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Student Services, School Principal, and/or Designee provides specialized speech and language services and assistance for children who qualify for services as established by State standards; participates in developing and implementing Individual Educational Plans (IEPs); provides speech and language therapy for individualized and/or group of students; Performs other related work as required. To apply for the position of Speech/Language Pathologist you must meet one (1) of the minimum requirements below:
- Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential w/Language, Speech & Hearing authorization
- Eligibility for Variable Term Waiver (VTW): Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology,
Communicative Disorder or closely aligned field, or hold a Multiple Subject or Education Special
Credential AND enrollment in a California or out-of-state program
- Verification Letter from the University stating program completion date of the Services Credential
w/Language, Speech & Hearing authorization
