Job Overview:
We are seeking a career driven, detail-oriented and organized Human Resources/Bookkeeper to join our team. This role requires a dynamic individual with experience in both HR and bookkeeping, preferably in the home health or senior care industry. The ideal candidate will oversee financial records, employee relations, compliance, and payroll processing while ensuring smooth HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:Bookkeeping Duties:
- Maintain accurate financial records for home health services.
- Process and manage invoices, payments, and billing cycles.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.
- Handle payroll and employee expense reports.
- Assist with audits and tax preparations as needed.
Human Resources Duties:
- Conduct screenings, interviews, and recommend qualified applicants.
- Perform background checks and verify employee licenses/certifications.
- Maintain accurate personnel files to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Manage hiring, onboarding, and orientation processes.
- Process payroll and respond to HR inquiries.
- Develop clear policies and employee handbooks.
- Handle tax processing and employee benefit payments.
- Prepare reports for management and finance departments.
- Provide technical support to new hires for hardware and software setup.
- Address employee queries and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Handle paperwork, contracts, and agreements efficiently.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of HR and bookkeeping experience, preferably in Home Health, Senior Care, or the medical field.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Office, and relevant HR software.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated understanding of HR strategies, including compensation, performance management, and employee relations.
- In-depth knowledge of Georgia employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to travel occasionally to other company offices.
