Duties:
- Perform venipuncture, fingerstick, and heel stick techniques to obtain blood samples from patients of all age groups
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of infection control, proper disposal of biohazard waste, and maintaining a clean work environment
- Build trust and rapport with patients to create a comfortable and effective experience
- Adhere to local and federal regulations, including CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA guidelines
- Collaborate effectively with clinical and laboratory staff to ensure efficient and accurate specimen processing
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities as needed
- Accurately identify patients and label specimens following appropriate protocols to maintain specimen integrity
- Assess the patient's condition for any contraindications or adverse reactions during specimen collection
- Prepare samples for transport to the laboratory, ensuring correct handling and storage
- Maintain accurate and updated records of patient information and phlebotomy procedures

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to perform phlebotomy procedures with accuracy and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within three months of hire
- 18 years old and above
- Proof of COVID vaccination
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Basic computer proficiency for entering patient information and maintaining records
