TITLE: Assisted Living Administrator
REPORTS TO: President/ CEO and SVP for Operations
METHOD OF PAY: Salary
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The primary purpose of your job position is to manage operations in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as directed by the President/CEO and SVP for Operations, to assure that the organization is operating effectively and efficiently. As the Facility Administrator, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for carrying out your assigned duties.
ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
2. Must be able to lead by example, and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and trust.
3. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
4. Must have advanced training in hospital or long-term care administration.
5. Must be knowledgeable of reimbursement regulations and nursing practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care administration.
6. Must be thoroughly familiar with laws, regulations, and guidelines governing personnel administration.
7. Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as must be willing to handle residents, staff, and visitors, based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
8. Must be able to read and interpret financial records, reports, etc.
9. Must be knowledgeable of computer systems, system applications, and other office equipment.
10. Must be able to communicate policies, procedures, regulations, reports, etc., to personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies/personnel

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A Bachelor's Degree is a plus. A degree in Public Health Administration or Business Administration, or a health-related degree is preferred but not required.
2. Must have, as a minimum, 3-year(s) experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital or health care facility.
3. A current, unencumbered active Georgia Assisted Living Administrator’s license is required.
