TITLE: Floor Tech
REPORTS TO: Administrator
Non-Exempt
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The primary purpose of the job position is to clean and maintain all floor areas and windows of the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the facility and as may be directed by the Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor to assure that the facility is clean, safe, and sanitary.
ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain common areas as directed by Facility Housekeeping Supervisor.
2. Maintain safety prior to and during all wet floor care procedures.
3. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of all carpet to ensure it is free of spots and/or stains.
4. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of hard floor surfaces. Use proper chemicals according to the type of cleaning being done (e.g.; strip and wax, scrub and wax).
5. Check and maintain clean windows in all support areas of the facility.
6. Remove trash from support areas including additional buildings on the main campus.
7. Empty biohazard waste receptacles daily; always wear protective gloves when handling biohazard waste.
8. Preform lite maintenance duties as directed by Facility Housekeeping Supervisor.
9. Other duties as directed by supervisor.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Prior floor technician experience is a plus.
3. If no experience, you must be willing to be trained in the cleaning procedures necessary to maintain the facility in a manner beyond a “standard” level of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety at all times.
