Job Title: Assistant Superintendent
Job Type: Full-Time Direct Hire
Location: Lakewood Ranch (Bradenton)
Job Description:
An Assistant Superintendent has the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to manage the day-to-day field operations of multifamily construction projects. In this role, you will oversee subcontractors’ work to ensure a complete project in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
What to Bring (Job Requirements):
- Two (2) to three (3) years of construction management experience in a field role.
- An undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
- Working knowledge of the construction process, including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower, safety, and government regulations.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with tradespeople, inspectors, and clients.
- Experience with construction sector software such as ProCore or BlueBeam, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- OSHA 30 certification is preferred but not required.
- Availability to work weekends as needed.
- Ability to travel locally to project sites as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
- Must be able to safely navigate a construction project site, including walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs and ladders, and working at heights.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and moderate to loud noise levels.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Superintendent in creating and maintaining a job schedule that defines the critical path and project completion dates.
- Manage activities of multiple subcontractors, coordinate weekly meetings, supervise work progress, and address corrections as needed.
- Assist in preparing the job site utilization plan for temporary facilities, material, and equipment movement, staging, and site access.
- Conduct preconstruction surveys to document existing conditions before starting work.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA, HAZCOM, and other applicable regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
