Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manufacturing Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires a strong background in accounting and finance, with a focus on corporate accounting practices and the ability to manage multiple financial functions effectively.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of money management, financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, insurance, sales tax, payroll taxes, job costing and personnel.
- Perform all general ledger accounting tasks and ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Manage accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
- Manage all accounts receivable process, invoicing, receipts, bank deposits, etc.
- Conduct regulatory reporting as required by local, state, and federal agencies.
- Collaborate with public accounting firms during audits and ensure all financial records are prepared for review.
- Utilize accounting software and financial software, including Job Boss, to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Support corporate accounting functions by providing insights into budgetary performance and forecasting.
- Prepare and pay all payroll taxes and create all necessary state reports.
- Work with brokers to bid and select all insurance coverages.
- Manage office staff to ensure inventory, and job costing is accurate and timely.
- Manage staff HR Generalist.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Proven experience in general ledger accounting and financial report writing is essential.
- Familiarity with public accounting practices is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounts payable management is necessary.
- Experience with corporate accounting functions is highly desirable.
- Competence in using accounting software and financial software; experience with Job Boss and Centerpoint a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
