SUMMARY
The Painter / Blaster is responsible for preparing parts for paint and final finish of stainless-steel parts. This position paints finished products to customer specifications and prepares product for assembly and / or shipping. This position is responsible for determining sequence of operations as well as preparing, operating, and maintaining equipment for operation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Set up and operate all blasting and polishing machines.
- Paint finished product to customer specifications.
- Sandblast metal parts to prepare for paint, glass-bead blasting of stainless-steel parts, and grinding and polishing of food grade items.
- Load and unload paint racks.
- Stage parts.
- Barcode scanning.
- Prepare, operate, and maintain equipment for operation.
- Regulate machines by setting and adjusting controls.
- Maintain specifications by closely monitoring operations, inspecting parts, and adjusting machinery and procedures as needed.
- Operate hand and power-assisted painting equipment, air powered nail guns, and power saws.
- Assist with packaging of product for shipment to customer.
- Cross train in shipping, crating, and receiving.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including special projects.
- Operate scanner and locate parts for job orders.
- Use automatic paint mixing system. Understand and follow mixing and painting instructions for custom paint job per customer request..
