Sandblaster / Painter for the Augusta Kansas area for PK Industrial.
Sandblaster / Painter Responsibilities:
- Performs all types of industrial painting work and surface preparation.
- Prepares various surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, sandblasting, or other means, as necessary.
- Mix various paints, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and special protective coatings for specified consistency, and drying properties.
- Paint buildings, structures, equipment, and piping using brush, spray gun or another applicator.
- Cleans and stores tools and equipment and cleans work sites.
- Assists in a variety of maintenance and repair work on equipment including paint pumps, blast equipment, air compressors, generators, and the like.
- Assists in performing preventative maintenance on blasting equipment, spray equipment, and pneumatic systems.
- Bends/stoops/reaches and lifts/carries heavy objects weighing up to 80 pounds; twists torso 45o to 90o to perform essential functions; ability to climb staircases; works in confined spaces; climbs ladders and onto scaffolding; works in inclement weather and a variety of situations. May be assigned to wear a respirator and/or self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) as needed.
- Appropriately fills out hourly time sheets.
- Acknowledges and follows all safety requirements.
- Performs related duties as needed or assigned.
